Q: What steps will you take to protect my warranty?
A: AustStar Motors is an independent Mercedes-Benz servicing specialist, meaning that we are qualified to carry out log book servicing. We also ensure that work is done according to the Mercedes-Benz specifications, using genuine Mercedes-Benz parts and lubricants where required.
Q: How long should my Consumer Guarantees apply?
A: It’s a common misconception that your Consumer Guarantees have a specific time limit.
Whilst Mercedes-Benz may choose to put a time limit on their warranty, this cannot replace your Consumer Guarantees. Protection provided under Australian Consumer Law will take into account the purchase price, realistic time expectations of when a failure may occur, any advertising claims, and the conditions under which a vehicle should operate. Mercedes-Benz’s warranty is in addition to, not in lieu of, your Consumer Guarantees.
Q: What if I have a warranty claim – can you fix that?
A: At AustStar Motors, we carry out end of warranty check overs. In the case of finding a warranty item that needs repairing or replacing, the mechanics will bring it to your attention to take back to you Mercedes-Benz dealer.
Should you have a warrantable defect, it may be a condition that any work to replace the defect is carried out by a Mercedes-Benz dealer workshop.
Q: Will you stamp my logbook?
A: AustStar Motors ensure all logbooks are stamped to verify that fully qualified mechanics the work conducted on your Benz according to Mercedes-Benz specifications, using genuine and non-genuine parts.
Q: Will having my car serviced here preserve my resale value?
A: Evidence of a well-maintained car will be beneficial in upholding resale value.
