I had the team of AustStar Motors perform a major service on my 2001 C320. Very professional, knowledgeable and helpful staff. From the lift to the train station, the courtesy car, and the way everything was explained and told what needed to be done now and what could wait till later made it a very pleasant experience for me as a first time Mercedes owner. I’m a first time Mercedes owner with no history with the brand. Where do you go to service it ? Could take it to a Merc dealership but have tried that with other brands and on one occasion I couldn’t start the car the next day. So looked around and thought Theo and the Guys were the ones to see. My instinct was right.

My car had a clunking noise in the rear right wheel arch area. For the past 5 months the noise became more constant and louder but could not be diagnosed and repaired by a few workshops. David at AustStar was very friendly and very knowledgeable. His diagnostic was efficient, and he explained diagnostic method, potential cause clearly to me with confidence. The repair work was then scheduled in quickly with parts ordered. On the day of repair, David’s communication was prompt and transparent. Repair price was fair and very comparable to other workshops. The issue was fixed in a single attempt at AustStar. I will surely bring my car for future service that I have more confidence in AustStar than Mercedes workshop.
The service was great from start to finish. Much better value-for-money than going to my nearest Mercedes Benz dealer. I liked how they didn’t push things that could be delayed for a few more months. Unfortunately there was no loan car available on the day I booked, which would have made for a perfect experience.
I first came across Aust star motors (the benz shop in those days around 30 years ago.
Andrew & Theo are experts and know these cars back to front. I have had all my Benz’s from new onwards serviced by them. They do a more through job then benz dealers , they get it right the first time with parts and workmanship being less expensive then MB dealers.
It’s their service and advice which makes them a valuable component to any benz work you might need to have done, their honest and quality work sets them apart from anyone else.
Our cars came back to us running better than ever. Even the Mercedes dealerships never had either car running as well as they are now. Great job team.

The whole experience from booking the car in for its service, through to the drop off and picking up the loan car, and the pick up of the car at the end of the day was excellent.
As I had recently purchased the car from Victoria and driven it too Brisbane, and being some 14 months since it’s last service, a major service was required, and would also give me a good baseline for any other work required.
The service was carried out promptly and the invoice showed the work completed as well as what was also required to bring the car up to 100% with quoted costs.
The price for the major service was a pleasant surprise.
Dave, the service advisor, went through the invoice with me, explaining what work needed to be done straight away and what work could wait until the next service, as well as some handy tips if I decide to DIY some of the simpler jobs needed.
I am more than happy to recommend AustStar to service your Mercedes, whether it’s a classic, and there were a few beautiful older examples in the shop, a higher mileage example of a well used older model like mine, or a modern example of the marque.
The whole team are helpful and professional in how they go about their business and it is refreshing to see service of this calibre.

Had my 7 year old C200 serviced there recently and it is running like a whole new car again. Terrific mechanics, great front of desk service and reasonably priced. Will get many good years out of my car under their care.
First time customer and very impressed . Rang with an urgent issue and the understanding reception team member fitted me in the next business day – The technician David inspected the component involved, explained the issue and didn’t charge as it was a one off problem with a door lock that didn’t recur . Will be taking my vehicle back for my first out of warranty service in the future. Great to see an independent business succeed with such outstanding customer service.

Just a short note to say i had some work on my ML350 Tuesday, & per usual Theo & the crew can never do enough for you.
I used to build racing engines for a living so when i want someone to work on my car i am looking for Expertise & Knowledge of that brand.
Austar has those credentials in spades.
I had the pleasure of spending some time in the workshop with Andrew, people say i am pedantic, but i have nothing on these technicians Andrew to apprentice there is a small hand mark on the door make sure you polish that off & go over your list again this car has to leave here spotless.
Andrew meanwhile is using a tension wrench to check the wheel nut’s making sure they are all tightened up at the same tension.
That is the first time i have witnessed a technician going to that
much attention.
But that is is standard practice at Austar Motors, & the lovely ladies
at the front counter can not do enough for you as well.

I had to change car brakes and battery urgently due to my travel plans. All MB dealers had waiting period of weeks/month even for urgent needs. Called AustStar, receptionist was very accommodative, she checked with mech team and gave immediate appointment. Fixed car with original parts at total cost lesser than quoted by MB dealers.
The team at AustStar Motors should be called Five Star Motors.They rescued me from having no choices to saving me from 5 weeks not having car to fixing problem in 2 days half price genuine part. My new ISM gear shifting module works like a Swiss Clock on my S350 W221 2009. Thank you heaps!!

Took 3 hours 30 mins(8.30am to 12pm) for E class B1 service. Unfortunately my car hasn’t been washed but still happy with their customer service and treating my car well. Got a call before they started their job, clearly explained what they would do to my car and how much it would be. The price was good. And thanks for the courtesy car.
Theo and the team are amazing! They serviced my C300 Coupe for a B1 service for over $750 less than Mercedes quoted. Not only that when I let them know I was having surgery and couldn’t drive, they picked the car up for me and dropped it off. I am a customer for life these guys (and gals!) are 10/10. But I need to give them 11/10 as my car came back washed!

Cannot recommend AustStar Motors highly enough. Theo has been working on a 1968 280SE Coupe for me. His plethora of knowledge when it comes to classic Mercedes is priceless – all the advice offered has been both highly professional and caring.
We recently had an issue with our ML250 so we took it to another Mercedes workshop in our area. As the particular issue in question isn’t uncommon with this model we were given a quote to repair at the time of dropping it off. The price then somehow doubled later in the day by the time it was inspected in their workshop. This prompted me to get a second opinion and quote so I found AustStar Motors online and spoke to owner Theo. I explained the problem with our vehicle and his vast experience was obvious from the very start. As I had the call on handsfree at the time even my wife who was present said afterwards that ‘this guy really knows his stuff’! Confident that we had made the right choice we had our vehicle towed to AustStar and end result was one very happy customer with an invoice at nearly half of what the other workshop quoted. Thanks again to Theo and the team at AustStar Motors, we will be back!
Great mechanic. Knew exactly how to fix the water and gearbox leaks. Finished when they said they would and were reasonably priced. What more could you ask for?

I had a bonnet cable that wasn’t latching, I called and Austar to see if they could have a look at the problem. Car was booked for the following day – I dropped the car in at 8am and had a call by 1230 saying it had been fixed and there would be no charge as it only took them 15 mins to sort. To say I’m impressed is an understatement, these guys know Mercedes Benz and boy do they know customer service!!! I’m new to the Mercedes Benz family and it’s safe to say I’m a customer for life for Austar Motors. Thank you Theo and your brilliant team.
Great service, never used Non Mercedes dealer garage before, but thought as car now out of 3 year warranty would give them a go as a friend had recommended them. Main dealer wanted $2300 for front & back brakes, AustStar quoted $1500, then called to say I only needed front ones done, also I was 1st time customer got a 15% discount on labour charge, so only cost me $747! Professional from start to finish, everything was explained from booking to completion of work. Would highly recommend this company.

Theo and the team are so helpful, friendly and nothing is ever too much trouble for them. They are timely with their service and what I also especially like is that I always get an upfront honest assessment of my car before any work is being done. Exceptional. Exceptional customer service; staff; knowledge and quality of work. I took my CLA45 AMG here after the manufacturer service warranty finished, knowing that the Merc dealership would charge exorbitant prices for the service. Considering it is a high performance car, I have to admit I was slightly hesitant to take the car to anyone but a dealer; however, Theo (who I understand is the owner) was excellent and knew the car better than anyone. I immediately knew I was at the right place. He told me exactly what was required to be replaced, as opposed to simply replacing what the manufacturer listed (e.g. the air filter) and asked for my approval prior to incurring any additional costs – Completely transparent. Highly recommend.
Firstly I would like to thank the team at AustStar Motors for all your help, cant say enough good things about these guys they really helped me and my partner, I will keep it as short as I can but really think it is important to let the public know how much these guys did for us we are not from Brisbane and live 10 hrs to the north we were traveling home and had some dramas with the new car, these guys had cars flowing out onto the street but assured us they would have a look n maybe try shuffle things around and they did!! Not saying this is normal practice because they have a schedule they have to stick too but we where so impressed with the care and compassion they showed us, “gives you a little faith in humanity and businesses in the city” we left that afternoon with the car running better then ever, if it wasn’t for these guys we wouldn’t have kept our deadline getting back home to work the next day!! Recently purchased a B200 Mercedes Benz from a dealer and booked the vehicle in for a service with AustStar Motors. Could not be happier with the honest, genuine and fairly priced service performed on the car. From asking a number of questions on the service history (AustStar had serviced this vehicle for a number of years), to booking in, nothing was too much trouble.
